Plastic in the ocean

Written by

We spent Christmas in Cornwall and made a Christmas tree out of plastic that we found on the beach at Strangles, a lovely beach in North Cornwall near Crackington Haven, with fabulous rock formations to explore.  You can watch the video we made on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsAMdrU3-sw

In the New Year we went to Easter Island and I noticed that the plastic on the beach there is really fine, having been ground up into lots of tiny peices.

It was shocking to see how much plastic there was on these beaches and it is an important reminder to use less plastic and also to dispose of it wisely when we do use it, so hopefully less ends up in the oceans, on beaches or in marine animals.
